Create a cover for a Facebook group online. Service for creating covers, backgrounds and avatars

If you are not a designer and want to create creative Facebook covers yourself, then you are in the right place. In this article we will share working tools that will be useful to you.

Probably the most famous instrument today. It's easy to work with. Just choose the one you like best from the presented assortment of covers and complement it with text or drawings at your discretion. Canva offers a wide selection of fonts, the only “but” of this site is that it does not work with Cyrillic.

All you need to know about Canva is that the selection of covers without a watermark is limited, and if you want to remove it, it will cost you $1 :)

Pagemodo is a pretty good tool with a clear interface. You will quickly figure out how to use this application. All you need to do is choose any of the proposed templates, set the background, add photos (yours or from their gallery), optional text, and publish your cover. The downside is that the Pagemodo website, like Canva, does not support Cyrillic fonts. And of course, if you use the free version, then be prepared for the fact that there will be a Pagemodo watermark on the cover, or you can always remove it by upgrading to a paid account.

A good, free and most importantly easy to use cover editor. In Timeline Cover Banner, you can create a cover for both personal and business pages. The main thing is to indicate the correct category (personal cover or fan page cover), since not all cover options can be used for commercial purposes. Even if you use the free version of Timeline Cover, you have a fairly wide selection of covers, and you can also add captions and create graphics.

Pic Scatter

This is a tool for creating original covers based on your Facebook photos. Pic Scatter automatically creates a collage of photos you “like”, photos of your friends or selected albums. If you don't like a photo in the collage, you can delete it by simply clicking on it. You can only log into this application through your Facebook account and give permission to access your photos.

If you want to use additional functions: filters or remove Pic Scatter branding from a photo, then it will cost you $1.5.

Pixrl Editor is a simplified version of Photoshop online in Russian. With it, you can create any cover you want, add text and whatever you want :) The choice of functions is not limited, just take it and create :)

We have presented 5 tools for creating covers for your choice. We are sure that you will be able to choose the one that appeals to you most :)

We hope you find this article useful. You can ask questions in the comments, share your experiences and impressions. Also, we will be glad to hear from you what tools you use. Thank you.

Facebook is the largest social network in the world, which is used not only for communication, but also for business promotion. In 2017, there were more than 65 million pages and groups of companies online from all over the world. It is incredibly difficult to stand out among so many organizations, especially for small businesses. One way to attract attention is a bright and memorable cover for a Facebook group. You can also put the cover on personal and on.

Rules for creating a bright Facebook cover

A unique image plays a huge role both for a small group and a huge online store. Most people don’t attach any importance to this, downloading a non-unique and unremarkable picture from the Internet. This action reduces user trust and repels potential customers.

A good cover helps:

  • Increase the number of subscribers. Even if you have written posts from experts on your topic and created an effective description, people will have to spend a lot of time reading it. In turn, a bright design can attract a person’s attention in just 60 seconds.
  • Stand out from your competitors. Business page posts attract a small number of people, and with 65 million companies competing, it becomes almost impossible to attract the attention of potential customers. A unique cover allows you to forever differentiate yourself from competitors, become unique and attract potential customers.
  • Increase conversion. Let's say the nth number of visitors come to the group every day, some of them subscribe to you, and the other part passes by. So, one of the options to ensure that more visitors are converted into a subscription base is to install an attractive cover.

But you will never attract users with an unattractive image. There are 2 rules that will help you make an attractive background image:

Just a couple of the rules described above will help to significantly increase the number of subscribers and conversion.

Facebook Cover Dimensions

When creating an image on Facebook, you must adhere to the following rules:

  • When viewing the cover on a computer, the size will be 820x312 pixels, on mobile device– 640x360.
  • The file must not be smaller than 400x150 pixels.
  • Files smaller than 100 kilobytes load faster.

If there is text on the cover and you want a high-quality image, upload a PNG file. The system does not compress such covers much, which allows them to maintain high quality even with the presence of text on them.

How to make a Facebook cover for a group

How to set a group cover on Facebook

To set the fruit of our creativity as the cover of your Facebook group (business page or personal account), go to the desired page and click "Add cover."

After this, a drop-down menu will appear where you need to select “Upload photo/video” and select the background we created on your computer. After that, it will download and you just have to click “Save”. You can also use a video or slideshow of several images as your cover.

For those who don’t know or don’t want to know (oh, how many conservatives are opponents of the chronicle), the cover is a large picture, the size 851×315, which is located at the top of your Facebook page or profile.

People are greeted, as they say, by their clothes, so it’s better to spend a little time designing your personal cover, rather than putting on whatever comes to hand.

Of course, if you have skills in Photoshop or similar tools, then you don’t need to read further. But if you want to try a free, simple tool that does not require installation on your computer, then read on (preferably to the end).

So, 7 Online Tools to Create a Facebook Cover.

FB Profile Covers

A large number of ready-made covers, grouped by categories (animals, celebrities, games, IT, etc....)

Pixlr

Free online image editor, somewhat similar to Photoshop. Pixlr allows you to resize, edit, crop an image, and apply filters. There is support for layers. In short, “mini-Photoshop”.

FB Cover Pix

FB Cover Pix can create a facebook cover with a few mouse clicks. In the settings you can specify several parameters, such as black and white, sepia, Polaroid, etc. It is possible to place a collage of friends on the cover.

Lunapic

A simple site with a set of effects for overlaying images. I didn’t really like it; I couldn’t do anything meaningful with it. There seem to be a lot of effects, but they are not implemented very well.

FotoFlexer

You can crop, add effects, remove red-eye, etc. FotoFlexer can sync with accounts on Flickr, Facebook and Picasa.

Last updated: May 2015

Hello, dear readers! You've probably already heard that Facebook is launching a new page design (not to be confused with the home page design). I wrote about what to expect from the new design in this article: “ “, so if you don’t know yet, be sure to read it.

At the beginning of March, Facebook promised that the new design of public pages would appear to everyone within a couple of weeks, but this did not happen. In general, the new design was available to a very small number of pages, even at the end of the month. However, from the first days of April, I began to notice that more and more updated pages were appearing. Yesterday, for example, I came across a Russian page with a new design - this is a magazine page Restaurateur.

Cover sizes for Facebook pages

If you are not going to create particularly sophisticated covers using Photoshop or other graphic programs, then the following markings will be enough for you.

Let me remind you that the dimensions of the cover itself have not changed, but: 851 x 315 px. What changed then? The bottom of the cover has changed, since the page title, category and buttons are now located here (previously they were all located under the cover), so the very bottom of the image can no longer contain any important information.

Let me remind you that minimum profile photo size 180 x 180 pixels. When you upload a photo, it is compressed to 160 x 160 px. You only need this information if you create integrated covers, that is, when the profile photo smoothly transitions into the cover. In other cases, just remember that the profile photo must be at least 180 x 180 pixels.

The above sizes will be enough for you to design a beautiful and functional cover. I note that the horizontal distance from the profile photo to the end of the cover will have to be calculated independently, since it depends on the length of the name of your page, as well as availability (which will soon appear on all Facebook pages). Below I will tell you about some free sites with which you can create original covers for your page.

Facebook cover design

I've written about this topic before, but I'd like to tell you about other sites that can help you create beautiful, professional-looking covers.

Previous article on cover design with other useful resources:

Coverbud

This is a very simple site that will help you create an original cover based on numerous template designs and photos from your page or personal profile.

How does it work? Select one of the templates and click on it. Then click on Customize and select Coverbud for pages. Next, you need to give permission to the program to access your photos and pages. After that, in the drop-down list, select the page for which you want to create a cover. The next step should open your cover designer. Here, I think, everything is intuitive, so I won’t describe what needs to be done. You can also choose a background and add text if desired.

Timeline Slicer

Timeline Slicer is one site that you should definitely check out! With it you can create integrated covers(when the profile image smoothly flows into the cover), and also download templates of the main images on Facebook to use them in other graphics programs. I have used this site many times myself and highly recommend it! At the bottom of the site there is a video tutorial on how the site works. Be sure to watch it to make it easier to understand what's what.

Update: Previously, the site worked without registration, but now in order to use it you need to register your account.

Click on the Add Image button to upload your image to the site. Green down arrow buttons - download the finished image to your computer.

Photovisi

With this site you can create beautiful collages and use them as you wish, i.e. this site is not intended for creating covers, but can still be useful. It’s nice that the creators of the site, apparently with the help of an automatic translator, tried to translate the site into Russian. Sometimes it turns out quite funny :)) But such care is still nice! :))

There is no registration or login required to create a collage, so this site is very easy to use. Just choose a design and upload your photos to the collage. That's all!

BeFunky

The BeFunky website will be useful for any kind of photo editing. This is a very good site, which is also translated into Russian!

Just like Pixlr Express, which I have written about more than once, BeFunky allows you to edit photos online completely free of charge without registration. Here you can crop images, resize them, add frames and various filters, and make collages.

In BeFunky you can upload photos from your computer, Facebook, Pikaza, Flickr and other services. Very comfortably!

I decided to add a few more useful resources to create beautiful covers for Facebook and other social networks. networks.

Fotor

Fotor is another very good resource, with which you can create collages, make cards and edit images.

To create a beautiful Facebook cover, click on Menu and then select Cover. Next, you can choose a cover for which social media. networks you want to create. For example, we choose Facebook. The cover editor window will open. You can choose the background you like, and also add stickers and text. The menu for collages, stickers and text is on the left side.

In order to use elements marked with a red diamond, registration is required.

PiZap

This is another good site for creating postcards, editing photos. PiZap offers a huge number of original collage templates, so if you like something interesting, then be sure to try this site.

At the very top, you can choose what collage format you need - landscape, square, vertical or Facebook cover. Please note that these are formats for rectangular collages only. In the menu on the side, you can choose from circles, hearts, shapes and a variety of seasonal themes. There is somewhere to roam :)) On this moment, this is my favorite site for creating collages. Highly recommend!

In general, there are a lot of different free resources on the Internet for editing images, creating covers and other manipulations with visual content. I don’t want to overload you with all sorts of resources, so I’ll finish for today, especially since the sites listed above are the best of their kind, in my opinion.

If you know any other resources, I would be glad if you share them in the comments.

Greetings, friends!
It's been a while since I talked about social media I didn’t write (unless you count YouTube as such) =)
I decided to correct myself and tell you how you can make a creative cover for Facebook without using Photoshop and other graphic editors.
Nowadays, more and more interesting services are appearing that will happily do almost any work for you for free (or for a fee). And the Facebook page cover is no exception.
So let's get to the fun part.

How to make a Facebook cover quickly and easily?

You've probably seen interesting covers on Facebook. And most of them are made in such a way that the photo on the avatar is, as it were, combined with the cover design. If it’s not entirely clear what I’m talking about, see below for examples of such creative covers.

So how? Cool? So I like this kind of creativity =) I think many of you also sometimes wanted to do something similar for yourself. But one of two things stopped you: either you don’t know how to use Photoshop, or you’re just too lazy to do it all in Photoshop (calculate the size of the cover, calculate the distance from the edge to the avatar, etc.).
I congratulate you! Regardless of which group you belong to, we came up with an interesting solution for you.
Ta-dam! This is a service
Here you can make yourself a creative cover in just a couple of minutes. All you need is to have some kind of more or less interesting picture to decorate your chronicle.
On this site you will need to select the cover option that suits you and upload your picture. The service itself will crop your picture to the size of your Facebook cover, and will also additionally make you an avatar (if you choose the option with an avatar), which will be like a continuation of your cover. This way you can make a rather unusual header for your Facebook timeline.
If you don’t understand how to use this site, then I bring to your attention my video, in which I showed and explained everything in detail. Enjoy watching!

Now you should not have any problems with a beautiful and interesting cover for your facebook page. Everything is done quickly and easily! So go for it! =)

Christina was with you as always,
which finally began to join the working rhythm =)
