What camera does sony xperia z have. Five interesting things you might not know about the Sony Xperia Z1 camera

The Japanese company has launched a new smartphone Sony Xperia Z on the mobile market, which will be a very serious competitor to the current and future flagship devices. It is the first major manufacturer to use a 5-inch 1080p screen. In our review, we will try to tell you about the features of this smartphone.

So, let's start with the appearance of the Sony Xperia Z. It comes in a compact package that contains the smartphone itself, a USB cable, headphones, an AC adapter, a 2 GB microSD memory card (availability will depend on the region of delivery).

The gadget is easily recognizable as a Sony device with its angular design. Glass covers the front and back of the device, blue plastic is used on the sides, and the edges are rubberized. There are several covers that make the machine waterproof (IPX57 standard) and dustproof (IP55 standard).

The choice of materials also has its downsides. So the glass is quickly covered with fingerprints and loses its brightness, but at the same time, you can always wipe it.

The build quality is excellent: it seems that no squeaks, other sounds or backlashes were found during operation. Since both sides are glass, the smartphone is reliably protected from scratches.

The Xperia Z has a very standard set of functional elements above the screen - a speaker, a front camera, touch sensors and a company logo. Beneath it are touch-sensitive navigation buttons, which are part of the display, and a microphone.

On the right side are located - the volume control key, the power / lock button and the microSIM card slot, which is covered with a plastic cover. Unfortunately, there are no camera controls here. On the bottom right is an external speaker.

A 3.5 mm audio jack is hidden at the top end under a plastic cover.

On the left, you can see a microUSB port and a microSD card slot under the covers, and a docking station connector under it.

The lower end of the gadget is completely devoid of functional elements.

Finally, on the back cover you can see a 13-megapixel camera, an LED flash and a second microphone that serves for noise reduction and for capturing stereo sound.

The dimensions of the device are 139x71x7.9 mm, and the weight is 146 grams.

Performance and software

Sony Xperia Z is based on the Snapdragon APQ8064 S4 Pro chipset with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Krait processor and an Adreno 320 graphics accelerator. The smartphone also has 2 GB random access memory. In general, the gadget will not disappoint in terms of performance and speed, resource-intensive games and applications just fly on it.

The device is running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Built-in memory - 16 GB (there is a slot for microSD cards).

In the BenchMark Pi test, which reflects single-threaded performance, the device under test takes first place. The same results are shown in the LinPack benchmark, which focuses on multi-threaded performance.

Let's move on to the GLBenchmark 2.5 Egypt (1080poffscreen) test, which will allow us to check the graphics capabilities of the device. Sony's new product did not disappoint here either, almost catching up with the Oppo Find 5.

But most games will probably run at native resolution, which is why we tested Epic Citadel, which uses Unreal Engine 3, which is hugely popular among game makers for mobile devices. So this is a very important test. It was held at high quality settings and, surprisingly, the gadget was again in first place.

We already thought that all the tests would pass the smartphone perfectly, but the browser tests were not very successful for the Sony Xperia Z.

So in the SunSpider test, the device was at the bottom, overtaking only Nexus 4 and Oppo Find 5. But in BrowserMark 2, the gadget took second place, losing only to Optimus G, which has a similar chipset, but lower resolution. In the Vellamo HTML5 test, the device also came in second, losing only to the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

So, let's move on from the tests to the communication capabilities of the Sony Xperia Z. The gadget has Wi-Fi, GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 modules, supports FM radio, 3G and LTE networks.

There is a rich preset software: browser, email client, social media integration software, navigation applications, audio and video players, etc.

Screen

Sony Xperia Z became the owner of a 5-inch TFT display using Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and 16 million colors.

The pixel density is 441 ppi.

You can really see the advantage over 720p displays with the naked eye, but the difference isn't that big.

The new Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology will also improve video and image playback performance, and work better in bright sunlight.

Below is a specialized sunlight sharpness test:

However, the screen is by no means perfect. First of all, the viewing angles are not very large. Of course, a step forward has been made compared to the Sony Xperia T, but a very small one. So in this direction, Sony needs to work more carefully in order to catch up with competitors.

We also note that the display does not have a very good contrast ratio and not very inspiring colors. Below is a test.

Camera

Sony Xperia Z is equipped with a 13.1-megapixel camera that allows you to take pictures with a maximum resolution of 4128x3096 pixels. If you use the default improved automatic mode, then get a photo with a resolution of 3920x2940 pixels.

The difference between advanced auto mode and normal mode with all auto settings is that the unit first tries to guess what scene you are trying to capture and adjusts all image parameters accordingly. This includes color saturation, contrast, exposure metering mode. In normal auto mode, only the exposure is set, but you can experiment with the rest of the settings.

The Sony Xperia Z offers all sorts of features including face detection, Smile Shutter, geotagging, touch capture and HDR mode.

In the improved auto mode, the smartphone takes good quality photos, although the colors are a bit oversaturated in our opinion. The noise level is average, the dynamic range is good, and the contrast is just excellent.

In general, we note that the results are quite good, although we did not find any noticeable advantages compared to the flagship 8-megapixel models.

Photo examples:

Xperia Z is capable of shooting video at a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. This model also provides the ability to shoot video, which distinguishes it from most other smartphones.

The disappointment was that when recording video, the gadget was able to take a photo with a 1-megapixel resolution. So last year's flagships could take full-resolution frames when recording video.

This, of course, is a minor minus, since the device does the basic things very well. The video has amazing detail. The bitrate hovers around 16Mbps, which is a decent compromise between quality and file size.

Battery

The Sony Xperia Z uses a non-removable 2330 mAh lithium-ion battery. One charge should be enough, according to the manufacturer, for 11 hours of talk time (GSM) and up to 14 hours via UMTS networks, up to 550 hours of standby time, up to 40 hours of music listening and up to 5.5 hours of video playback.

With an average load of the smartphone, the battery lasted for about a day.

Price

The price of Sony Xperia Z in the Russian market is 29,990 rubles.

We summarize the main disadvantages: low display contrast, non-removable battery, weak speaker.

Sony Xperia Z video review:

Sony Mobile is a subdivision of a Japanese corporation responsible for the production of mobile devices; the company is increasing the production of dust and water resistant smartphones every year. With the release of the Xperia acro S and Xperia V models, Sony proved that rugged smartphones can also be attractive. The flagship model Sony Xperia Z has absorbed all the latest developments of the company. This FullHD-screen, waterproof housing, quality materials, best-in-class camera and spectacular design. A beautiful large smartphone with a 5-inch display, modern hardware and a lot of useful options that will appeal to any user. Smartphone Sony Xperia Z looks very promising. Let's take a closer look at it.

Contents of delivery

The device comes in a compact box. In addition to the smartphone itself, in the kit you will find Charger, USB cable, documentation and headset. I really liked the bundled headset. This is an in-ear headset (MH-EX300AP) with a very good quality sound with a set of additional nozzles.

security

In accordance with IP55 and IP57 standards, the corresponding device is protected against low-pressure water jets from all directions in accordance with IP 55 and/or can be submerged in fresh water for up to 30 minutes in accordance with IP 57.

Design

Sony Xperia Z, in my opinion, the height of design excellence. When you pick up this smartphone, you feel a solid “thing” in your hands! The entire surface of the smartphone, including all four side faces, is finished with durable protective glass panels. According to Sony, "The Xperia Z is constructed with premium materials and introduces for the first time the new OmniBalance design concept with slightly rounded edges and smooth reflective surfaces on all sides." The smartphone is quite thin and wide, but due to the rounded edges and corners, as well as their matte surface, the phone is quite comfortable to hold with one hand, despite its size.

On the front panel, the upper cutout in the glass for the speaker grille is identical to the lower cutout for the microphone. Also here are the front camera and light and proximity sensors.

The back side of the smartphone is a solid glass panel, flush with the level of the panel is a neat camera window just below the flash and some inscriptions below. Laconic, expensive, stylish. There are not even holes for the sound output of the speaker - they were moved to the side face, so that the sound of the table surface will not overlap under any circumstances.

At the very top of the left side is a Micro-US connector, covered with a waterproof plug. All plugs are attached to the case with rubber tags, so it is impossible to lose them.

On the right side, also under the cover, there is a slot for a SIM card. It is inserted into the smartphone using a plastic "tray". The design is very simple and should not cause inconvenience to users during installation.

In the lower right corner of the case there is a hook for attaching a cord or a keychain, it is made very elegantly.

On the right side of the smartphone is the volume rocker and the power button. Unfortunately, there is no separate button for the camera.

The smartphone is available in three colors on the market. In addition to black and white, there is also a purple variant of the Sony Xperia Z.

Screen

The smartphone screen deserves special attention. FullHD becomes the basic feature of all top models. The pixel density is very high, it is 443 PPI. The screen size is 5 inches. The image is clear, there is no graininess. Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 (second generation) technology is supported to improve picture display. Most importantly, the screen behaves perfectly in the sun. Even under direct rays, the information on the screen is easy to read. Brightness can be adjusted both manually and automatically. As for the viewing angles, they are far from five plus - when the smartphone is tilted vertically and horizontally, the colors fade slightly, the picture becomes less clear. But it is not so noticeable as to distract the user's attention. In general, I really liked the screen of the smartphone.

Hardware

The smartphone has a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064+MDM9215M Quad Core processor. The video accelerator Adreno 320 is responsible for the graphics. The RAM in the device is 2 GB. It can be seen that the manufacturer technically supplied its flagship "with a margin." In the Antutu test, the device scored 19434 points and overtook all the closest competitors.

Its memory in the smartphone is 16 GB, which can be expanded using microSD memory cards up to 64 GB. The built-in GPS-module copes with its task quickly. It takes a few seconds to find satellites. Wi-Fi is fast and has all the protocols that exist today. The volume of the conversational speaker and the main speaker is average. Under standard conditions, the call is heard, the speech of the interlocutor is distinct and distinguishable. Sony Xperia Z supports LTE networks, but this is still the future for our country ... The smartphone has a Bluetooth 4.0 module. Data is transferred quickly. The smartphone can be connected to the TV using an HDMI cable, which, unfortunately, is not included in the kit. Also, the device has support for DLNA, Glonass and NFC - short-range wireless high-frequency communication technology, which makes it possible to exchange data between devices located at a distance of about 10 centimeters. The smartphone also has an FM radio. It only works with a connected headset that acts as an antenna. The Walkman audio player deserves special attention. It is rich in settings and additional software sound enhancements, such as a built-in equalizer with ten preset values to choose from, ClearBass, Clear Phase, xLoud or virtual surround sound technologies. The equalizer can be adjusted manually. This is a big plus for music lovers. The quality of the bundled headphones is high. The sound is very good.

Software

Out of the box, the Sony Xperia Z comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The operating system will be updated over the air. With the release of new versions, the user can easily update his OS. As usual, on top of the standard OS interface, the company installed its own shell, which has already become a classic for modern Sony phones. The shell significantly changes the interface and adds several native applications. The desktop consists of five horizontally scrolling screens. Now you can create folders, both on desktops and inside the application menu. Preinstalled several online services such as TrackID, Movies, PlayNow; Timescape collects information about social activity friends. There is a pre-installed file manager, there was even a QR code scanner. A cut-down version of OfficeSuite is also preinstalled, allowing you to view office documents. A handy application is provided for creating a copy of various data that may be stored in the phone.

Camera

The Sony Xperia Z smartphone has one of the best front cameras. Its resolution is 2.1 megapixels. The camera even allows you to record Full HD video. The main camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels. This is a backlit Sony Exmor RS module with autofocus and LED flash. The camera menu is almost the same as in the company's previous smartphones. Of the new features, we can highlight the HDR mode, which is now available for both photos and videos.

There is a high-speed continuous shooting - 9 frames per second. The picture quality is high level. The smartphone shoots video in FullHD format, during the day the video turns out to be quite good. You can take photos while shooting a video. I advise you not to turn on the HDR mode for video, because the picture as a result is grainy and the video looks bad on the computer.

Photo examples:

Working hours

The smartphone has a non-replaceable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2400 mAh. Official data on operating time are as follows: up to 11/14 hours minutes in talk mode (2G/3G), up to 550/530/510 hours of battery life in standby mode (2G/3G/4G), up to 140 hours in player mode, up to 5.5 hours minutes in video mode. In the continuous video playback mode at maximum brightness, the device worked for almost 5 hours. In practice, a smartphone in medium load mode can work for about two days, and in active mode it will live for 1 day. As in other smartphones of the company, the device has an application that will help extend the time of the smartphone. It sets several profiles, each of which varies the number of functions used. In my opinion, for a smartphone with a large screen and FullHD resolution, the autonomy result is quite decent, many analogs run on battery power much less.

Conclusion

Sony Xperia Z is the undisputed leader in the line of competing smartphones. The main advantages of the smartphone are its screen, high-quality body, elegant design, excellent camera and high performance. Smartphone can rightfully be called the best product Sony throughout history. Of the minuses, I can note the lack of a separate button for the camera. With it, it would be easier and faster to take photos and videos, as well as small viewing angles of the screen. Xperia Z is a beautiful and functional smartphone that everyone who loves the Sony brand will appreciate.

A fresh flagship from Sony was presented on September 4, 2013 at the IFA conference in three color modifications - black, white and wonderful purple. Although all its characteristics were already known thanks to leaks, before the premiere it was believed that the phone would be called either Honami or I1. We decided to figure out why this device is so good.

All Sony smartphones of the top lines are approximately the same in terms of technical specifications, and you have to choose from gadgets similar to each other like two drops of water. Therefore, a chip is needed that will outshine competitors.

And the Xperia Z1 has it obvious - it's a great camera, which simply has no equal in this segment. Everything about it is great:

  • And an Exmor RS sensor, similar to those found on Sony Cyber-Shot compacts;
  • And 20.7 megapixels of resolution - the Z1 simply has no analogues in its class;
  • And the BIONZ chip, which is responsible for the post-processing of all images;
  • And f/2.0 aperture optics specially designed for this model;
  • And a bunch of exclusive applications that allow you to create whatever you want with the pictures.

Can a great camera outweigh the advantages of competitor phones? Of course, not everyone needs a camera phone. And not all gadget lovers take photos or videos every day.

But anyone who buys a flagship smartphone doesn't want to put up with compromises on anything. And almost all gadget lovers have several accounts at once. in social networks, in which original photos and videos are indispensable. And here the ideal image quality is almost the ultimate dream.

A cool camera needs the right display - new Instagram photos should be presented to your friends in a favorable way! And here Sony also did not lose face.

FullHD-screen with a diagonal of 5 inches and a resolution of 1920x1080 is made using technologies developed in Bravia Hi-Fi TVs. For example, TRILUMINOS is a screen backlight made using quantum dots. When an image is displayed on the screen, its color gamut is analyzed and these dots glow red, blue, or green instead of the standard white light. With the TRILUMINOS effect, the Xperia Z1 screen displays even more colors than the human eye can see!

Due to this, the brightness of the display may even seem excessive, but the gamma can be easily adjusted. And besides quantum dots, Sony engineers have implemented a technology X Reality, which is said to significantly improve image quality. The video stream (or a single picture) is processed pixel by pixel on the fly, and due to this, noise is reduced and the brightness and color of the image are increased. Of course, not very high-quality video will not turn into 1080p, but when viewing video shot with the built-in camera, the difference will be obvious. For example, if you shot in the dark, X-Reality removes such noise perfectly. The work of X-Reality can be seen in the picture below.

But the camera itself is nothing if it is inconvenient to use. Here Sony involved, it seems, all their creative resources. The camera interface is as simple and convenient as possible - by the way, the Z1 has a shutter button on the side of the case, which for some reason was not in the previous Xperia Z model. And in addition to the usual shooting, there are a bunch of application modes that allow you to use the camera for a variety of purposes.

Applications for camera Sony Xperia Z1. Short review

  • timeshift burst - special treatment fast shooting, which at one press of the button makes 60 (!) Frames, and 30 of them - before the button is actually pressed. From the shots taken, you can choose the best one - or make a storyboard if you shoot sports;
  • info-eye- when shooting some famous object or place, it loads the entire Additional information about him. If you have the Eiffel Tower in front of you, you don't have to go to Google to read about it - Info-eye will recognize it from a photo and open a Wikipedia page or other photos with it. Moreover, it works not only with geographical objects, but also with QR codes and even with business cards - the application can also read information from them;
  • Augmented Reality (AR) effect- a thing that creates the effect of augmented reality, as the name implies. It determines where the floor is on the frame, where the ceiling is (if there is one), and also "sees" people's faces. By setting one of the seven modes, you will turn the picture into a funny landscape. For example, in the "sea" mode, the floor will grow shells, and fish will begin to swim in the air. Useless, but very technically interesting thing;
  • social live- allows you to broadcast video to your Facebook page. Journalists, operators and those who love publicity will definitely need this feature.

Specifications Sony Xperia Z1

While listing the advantages of the camera, we completely forgot about the filling of the Sony Xperia Z1. Actually, this was achieved in the Japanese company, but it’s worth saying a few words. Inside, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 800 overclocked to a maximum of 2.2 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics. That is, everything is top notch - what else can you expect? By the way, in the AnTuTu benchmark test, the Xperia Z1 performs better than the nearest competitor Galaxy S4 with a similar processor.

Not so long ago, the world saw a new flagship smartphone from Sony. As befits a flagship, the model Xperia Z received all the best from the manufacturer: the best processor, screen, body, battery and camera. If the performance of the processor or display during the announcement of the novelty could be seen, then the operation of the camera was not, so this moment of the smartphone’s operation was left out of attention.

Photos taken with a smartphone camera have recently appeared on the Internet. Xperia Z. It is noteworthy that an exhibition smartphone was taken as an "experimental", which was taken out by some enthusiasts during the CES 2013 exhibition on the street. Recall that the camera Xperia Z has a 13-megapixel matrix Exmor RS, which is better in all respects than its predecessor - Exmor R. Whether this is so, judge for yourself from the pictures.

As you can see, the quality of the photos is at a high level. Compared to the camera performance of the company's previous flagship, Xperia Z sharpness has been noticeably improved, noise level has been reduced, and exposure metering has become more accurate. According to BestBoys.de, the camera's autofocus is noticeably faster in both continuous and touch modes.

In addition to photos, we also managed to get a video taken by the camera Xperia Z. This video is interesting because it was filmed using HDR, which is most visible when the camera is backlit. In order to fully appreciate the quality of shooting with a camera, on YouTube, select the quality 1080p.

The announcement of the Sony Xperia Z smartphone at CES 2013 has definitely become one of the most notable events in Las Vegas. Yes, and within the framework of MWC 2013, the attention of numerous representatives of the press and analysts of the mobile market will be riveted to this device. Especially in conjunction with the Tablet Z of the same name. Finally, the phone ended up in our test lab. Device size -139 x 71 mm. Thickness - 7.9 mm. Weight - 146 grams.

Review of the smartphone Sony Xperia Z: why the flagship armor

The screen diagonal is five inches, while the model is positioned not as a tablet phone, but as a working version of a smartphone. Due to the rather narrow frames, in principle, the dimensions are comfortable enough for one-handed operations. The screen resolution is 1920x1080, which is Full HD. It turns out that the pixel density is higher than Apple's Retina: 443 pixels per inch versus 326. Using the development of the Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, engineers have achieved a rich image with excellent color reproduction, taking into account the peculiarities of the technology used (TN). Due to the lack of an air gap, as in previous models, the picture seems even more lively and close. However, the display cannot be compared with the same AMOLED screens in terms of contrast and black depth. At new technology no competitors yet. But we have heard more than once that the AMOLED picture does not suit everyone, as it seems pretentious and “poisonous”. Therefore, before buying it is better to look at the screen in person.

Sony Xperia Z comes in three color options

Monolith - this is the definition I want to give the appearance of new items. By the way, if you don't know, that was the name of the top-end TV from Sony.

A feature of the case is that the glass edges are not only in front and behind, but also on the ends. And the plugs of the interface connectors are so tightly fitted that they are almost invisible. They are made of the same material as the ends themselves. On the edge of each of them there is a small ledge, so that there is at least some opportunity to catch on and open the plug.

On the left side there is a cover with a microSD card slot. The official specifications claim support for cards up to 32 GB. The device did not accept 64 GB cards formatted in other devices. Nearby is a microUSB connector for charging and data transfer. Below you can see two gold-plated contacts. They are designed to charge the device in the docking station that comes with the delivery. No other functionality, except for charging in this docking station, is provided. The cradle itself has a microUSB port for external charging.

rear camera Sony Xperia Z has a resolution of 13 megapixels

At the top end of the device there is a single plug with a meaningful icon in the form of a stereo headset. Below it is a standard 3.5 mm stereo jack. The plug, which has been folded back on the holder-leg, somewhat violates the overall aesthetics when using headphones, but we cannot say that this is so critical. In addition, you can always use Bluetooth stereo headsets, which at this stage of development produce a very decent sound.

On the right side, under a flap, there is a slot for a microSIM card. Moreover, in the connector itself there is a small tray (tray) into which you insert the SIM card. So it's impossible to go wrong.

Next is the on/off button. From a design point of view, it may seem a little foreign at first, especially in models where it contrasts more in color (purple and black). But in the future, you get used to it very much. After all, it is she who differs in the most clear move and, on this moment, has the most correct location of all the smartphones we tested with a similar button on the side.

Below it is the volume rocker. Below, on the verge, is a speaker covered with a white enamel mesh. When using the speakerphone, it can be covered with part of the palm of your hand, while the sound will change drastically for the worse.

Button on the side Sony Xperia Z is a highly visible option

The screen itself is located on the front front face, above it is a speaker, a camera for video calls, proximity and light sensors, and a silver Sony inscription. It is strange that the frame is not made in the color of the entire body. In this case, the black color scheme seems to be more integral in terms of design. Although, it's up to the buyers to decide. Also on the front panel is a neat indicator light. Depending on the situation, it shines in different colors - green when messages are received and when charging is completed, red when the phone urgently needs recharging or when the device is already charging. At the very bottom, covered with a mesh, is a hole for a microphone.

No hardware, even touch, keys are provided. And this is our first complaint. As a result, the working area of the screen is reduced due to the service keys: "Home", "Back" (by the way, it is located on the left) and "Options". Therefore, we can use the full five-inch screen only when viewing photos or videos.

An eyelet is provided on the corner of the device to carry the device on the wrist.

On the back wall there is a photomodule sensor window, a flash (backlight for video recording), an external microphone.

Opposite the button is a silver inscription XPERIA and some service information at the bottom, appearance which somewhat disturbs the overall harmony. The smartphone is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, each core operates at a frequency of 1.5 GHz. This system operates asynchronously, starts and runs as many cores as necessary for a given program or operating system. The amount of RAM is two gigabytes, which has already become the de facto norm for devices claiming leadership. And although application authors still write their programs with an eye on the amount of RAM in one gigabyte, but, nevertheless, the appetites of devices and the desire to increase application performance will soon be embodied in the use of additional cores and the amount of memory provided. The device comes with 16 GB of pre-installed flash memory. At the moment, this is quite modest, given the appetites of modern applications and high-quality Full HD video that can be viewed on the device. As we already said, this volume can be expanded with separately purchased media (up to 32 GB).

Display Sony Xperia Z features Full HD resolution

The device is equipped with two cameras. The rear module boasts the flagship (at the moment) thirteen megapixels. But happiness is not in numbers. The main thing is the result. And he's pretty good. We are already a little tired of high expectations. In this case, the pictures are very worthy. Noise, of course, is fought at the hardware level, so the hatching of auto-sharping and “blurring” does not hurt the eye much. Sometimes the camera really wants to emphasize a certain color and then the white balance is slightly shifted towards blue (more often) or red. Again, the consequences are not so dramatic as to be written down as a minus for the module. The camera is based on the new advanced Exmor RS sensor. There is a flash / backlight module when shooting video. Autofocus can be adjusted by touching the desired area on the screen. Also, many interesting functions are provided, such as: panoramic shots, face detection in the frame, smile detector. There are many mode settings, but as a rule, smartphone owners do not use them much, judging by the photos posted on the network.

Sony Xperia Z test shots

Obviously, the front camera is mainly designed for making video calls. And here it seems that 2 megapixels is even too much - with such a resolution, you can not only see the results of a morning shave, but also evaluate hair styling, down to each curl, however, this becomes relevant if you communicate with a lady.

It is also obvious that the front camera is based on a different sensor. She works harder with backlight, it is easier to fool her with white balance. But again, don't expect miracles.

Sony Xperia Z is water and dust resistant

An important feature of the presented is its water resistance and dust resistance. Support is declared according to IPX5 / 7 and IP5X standards. It would seem, why would a device, clearly a premium segment, need such brutal skills? However, statistics say that the number of smartphones that ended their days as a result of meeting with a large cup of coffee or even after swimming in a pond, sink, toilet bowl is very, very large. And the need to end the conversation in the pouring rain is declared by the manufacturer as a matter of course. Also, in the commercial, instead of using a neat flannel, the owner of the smartphone for some reason pours water from a thermos on it. Maybe in order not to scratch with a cloth and small grains of sand that fell under it? On the other hand, it is claimed that the glass easily resists external damage, thanks to special technologies, the name of which, however, is not called.

The smartphone comes in three colors: familiar black, white and a truly revolutionary, bold and bright purple-purple. An important functionality, which the organizers of the conference especially focused on, is the widespread use of NFC (Near Field Connection) technology. So, when you touch the remote control of an “advanced” Sony TV, by pressing one button, you can “mirror” what is happening on the smartphone screen on the TV. When brought to certain models, announced speakers and headphones, it will be possible to immediately broadcast music from the phone. And also, use Smart Tag - amii, which, when you bring the device to them, instantly change the scenario of your phone's settings, whether it's night mode, sports mode, or another one that is customized just for you.

It should also be noted that the delivery set is rich by today's standards. Due to the fact that the Micro USB connector is hidden behind a neat cover, opening it every time is unlikely to be pleasant and interesting. Therefore, to charge the device, a docking station is included in the package. It is intended for charging only. The docking station is made in the same color as the body of the smartphone itself. The kit also comes with a very expensive wired headset that provides excellent sound. Its cost is over 2,000 rubles. Also included in the package is a high-power charger that reduces charging time and a microUSB cable that can be connected to either an adapter or a computer for data transfer.

Sony Xperia Z has every chance of becoming the third force in the "great confrontation "

At the moment, we have an obvious flagship among smartphones: a five-inch screen with Full HD resolution, a powerful quad-core processor, two gigabytes of RAM, elegant yet reliable performance, interesting color solutions, protection against moisture and dust, expandable memory and a rich package. Do not forget that the letter “Z” in Sony products has always denoted the premiumness of devices, both in terms of compliance with the technical stuffing and external performance (compliance with the Sony Style concept).
