What time does the holiday prayer of Eid al-Fitr begin. In China, at a corporate party, employees of the salon were forced to fight

This article contains: Eid al-Adha prayer before eating - information taken from all over the world, the electronic network and spiritual people.

The most important dua of a believer, which does not take even a second to pronounce, but which has many blessings, is "Bismillah" - "With the name of Allah." A Muslim is commanded to begin each of his deeds with the name of the Almighty, so he gives himself and his work to the Almighty, recognizing that any outcome belongs only to Allah, and only Allah can grant its good completion. With the word "Bismillah" the believer breathes his soul into his deed and dedicates it to Allah, be it the most ordinary and ordinary deed. On these blessed days, we associate with fasting, breaking the fast and eating, and therefore, it is especially important before eating, showing humility and humility before the One who gave us food, start it with the name of Allah. In the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about the importance of "Bismillah" before eating it is said:

“Say: “In the name of Allah / Bi-smi-Llah /”, and eat with your right hand.”

“When taking food, let each of you remember the name of Allah, but if he forgets to remember the name of Allah Almighty at the beginning (of the meal), let him say: “With the name of Allah at the beginning and end of it / B-smi-Llahi fi avwali-hi wa akhiri-khi/".

“When a person enters his house and remembers Allah Almighty at the entrance and during meals, the shaitan says to his minions: “There will be no shelter or supper for you (here)!” If (a person) entered (into the house) without remembering Allah Almighty at the entrance, the shaitan says: “You received shelter”, and if he does not remember Allah Almighty and while eating, (shaitan) says: “You also received shelter, and dinner."

It is reported that Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “When we happened to eat with the Messenger of Allah, we (never took anything first), until (started to eat) the Messenger of Allah, (Once,) when we shared with him meal, some girl appeared, (in a hurry) as if she was being urged on. She (immediately went to the food) and extended her hand to it, but the Messenger of Allah grabbed her by the hand, and then some Bedouin appeared, (also) as if driven by someone. Grabbing his hand and his, the Messenger of Allah said: “Verily, the shaitan considers it permissible for himself that food over which the name of Allah Almighty is not remembered, and he brought this girl here in order (with her help) to make food permissible for himself, but I grabbed her hand. And then he brought this Bedouin here to (with his help) make food lawful for himself, but I grabbed his hand too! I swear by the One in Whose hand is my soul, truly, when I held the hands of these two, in my hand was (the hand of Satan)! ”, After which (the prophet) uttered the name of Allah Almighty and proceeded to eat.

One person who ate in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, who was sitting (next to him), did not remember Allah until (only one) piece was left of his food. Bringing it to his mouth, (this man) said: “With the name of Allah at the beginning and end of it,” and then the prophet laughed and said: “Shaitan (all the time) ate with him, when he remembered the name of Allah, (shaitan) vomited out of himself all that was in his womb.

During the days of Ramadan, the believer especially begins to appreciate the food given by Allah, which in ordinary times he can take for granted. Our inheritance, our rizq and food are only from Allah, and starting from Bismillah, the believer recognizes this, realizes his true position and expresses gratitude to Allah. Therefore, it is very important to start eating with the name of the Almighty. If, due to forgetfulness, he did not do this, then in the process of eating he should say “With the name of Allah at the beginning and end of it” / Bi-smi-Llahi fi avvali-hi wa akhiri-hi /.

Eid al-Fitr (Eidul-Fitr). Feast of the end of the fast

It is advisable (mustahab) to perform a full bath (before going to the mosque) and, using the best aromas, incense, put on festive, ceremonial clothes. The Messenger of the Almighty (may the Lord bless and greet him), especially on these holidays, as on Friday, used wonderful incense. He also had a special cape-cloak, which he put on when going to the mosque on these days and on Friday.

It is desirable to pray on the night of the holiday and ask the Lord for blessings; fill these nights with the reading of the Koran and the praises of the Almighty. Of course, in moderation, so as not to oversleep the holiday prayer and sermon. It is reported that the prayers-du‘a of believers, offered precisely at night before two significant holidays - Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Adha, will certainly be heard.

Also, the Prophet Muhammad (may the Almighty bless him and welcome) said: “Who stood up the night prayer on the night of 'Idul-Fitr (Uraza Bayram) and on the night of 'Idul-adha (Kurban Bayram), believing in retribution from the Almighty, his heart will not die on the day when the hearts of [many] die.”

It is highly advisable to arrive at the mosque in advance in order to take a seat in the forefront.

On the holiday of the end of the fast (Eid al-Fitr), before going to the mosque, they usually eat something sweet, or better, an odd number of dates. But on the feast of sacrifice (Eid al-Adha) it is desirable (not so important, but desirable) not to eat anything, going to the mosque.

These days, the special generosity and attention of the head of the family to his wife, children and relatives are encouraged. It is imperative, especially at this time, to strengthen family relations by calling up, visiting and inviting each other to visit.

How to prepare for the holiday of Eid al-Fitr and what needs to be done

On July 5, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated in Russia. How to celebrate the holiday correctly and what needs to be done before the holiday prayer - in the material of the Info-Islam news agency.

Actions before the holiday prayer

The main festivities of Eid al-Adha, of course, take place in the morning in the mosque. After the morning prayer, the people gather to listen to the Imam's sermon and read a special prayer. But what must be done before coming to the mosque? Based on the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon him, and from his actions, the following must be done:

  1. Swim. It is necessary to perform the ritual bathing of the ghusl. The basis of the ghusl are three main actions: a) rinsing the mouth; b) washing the nose; c) washing the whole body with water. The water should touch the whole body. If you want to receive more rewards from the Almighty, then you need to perform a ghusl with all the actions that fall under the category of the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
  2. Use miswak. You can use both the miswak itself and various toothpastes and brushes, the most the main objective achieving oral cleanliness and odor removal.
  3. Use incense. Only men can use incense in public, while women can only use incense for their husbands.
  4. Put on your best clothes. According to tradition, it should be new or the purest.
  5. Go to prayer early. It is advisable to listen to the reading of the Koran, then listen to the festive vagaz - a sermon and perform a festive prayer, after which the khutba is read in Arabic.
  6. Before going to the mosque, it is advisable to eat something sweet. It will be good to eat an odd number of dates, as did the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
  7. On the way to the mosque, takbirs are usually pronounced, that is, the words - “Allahu Akbar”, which means “Allah is Great”.

Sadaqa al-Fitr is something to remember before the holiday prayer!

Before the holiday, Muslims think about sadaq-fitr, or zakat al-fitr, which, at the behest of the Lord, every Muslim pays.

Abdullah Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, said: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, charged Muslims with zakat al-fitr as a cleansing for the fasting person from the filth of idle talk and obscenity, as well as food for the poor. And whoever paid it before the holiday prayer, his zakat is accepted, and whoever did it after the holiday prayer, then it will be ordinary alms, and not zakat al-fitr ”- narrated by Abu Dawood, Ibn Maja.

"Sadaqah of breaking the fast" is intended for the same categories as the usual zakat, in this case, one should be guided by the 60th verse from the Surah "Repentance". At the same time, first of all, the addressees are still the poor and the needy. Since in the hadith narrated by Abu Dawood and cited first in this article, we understand that sadaqa al-fitr serves for a person, firstly, as a purification for the fasting person from the filth of idle talk and obscenity, and secondly, as food for the poor.

It should be noted that from the point of view of the Hanafi madhhab, “sadaqa al-fitr” is obligatory (wajib) for every Muslim and Muslim woman, and even for those who do not have their own income. This year, the size of sadaqa fitr - zakat al-fitr this year is set at 100 rubles, and for those who have the opportunity to pay Zakat (rich people) - 600 rubles. The size of these alms is set according to the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon him, and based on the cost of wheat flour, dates and raisins.

Most importantly, alms must be given before the holiday prayer.

How is Eid al-Fitr at home?

It is also desirable to create a holiday atmosphere at home. Therefore, mostly men go to the mosque for the holiday prayer. Women at this time prepare refreshments at home. Children should feel that today is a holiday, therefore, according to tradition, tables are richly set, relatives and friends are invited to visit, and children are presented with generous gifts. Eid al-Fitr is the holiday of breaking the fast. Therefore, on this day, colorfully laid tables should emphasize the meaning of the holiday.

Ramadan: when in 2017, eid and iftar, prohibitions and regulations, zakat and sadaqah

Followers of Islam around the world, including in Russia, have entered one of the most important periods of the year in Islam - the holy month of Ramadan has begun.

When is Ramadan in 2017

In 2017, in most Muslim countries, the month of Ramadan began on May 26 and will last until June 25. The day after the end of Ramadan, one of the most important holidays in Islam will come - Eid al-Fitr, which is celebrated on June 26 in 2017.

What is Ramadan

Ramadan is the ninth month of the lunar Muslim calendar, which usually falls during the hot season. Therefore, in translation from Arabic, the name of this month means “hot”, “sultry”, “scorching”.

For Muslims, Ramadan is a month of obligatory fasting and prayer. The fulfillment of the commandments this month is very important and refers to the five pillars of Islam, which include: saying the phrase "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet!" (shahada); five daily prayers (namaz); fasting during the month of Ramadan (uraza); tax in favor of the poor (zakat); pilgrimage to Mecca (hajj).

Throughout Ramadan, believers are required to abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and intimacy during the daytime.

Ramadan - 2017: prescriptions and prohibitions

Throughout the month of Ramadan in the morning, believers make a special declaration of their intention to fast for the glory of Allah (niyat). The morning meal (suhoor) should be finished half an hour before dawn. Breaking the fast (night meal, called iftar) should begin as soon as it is allowed by the schedule. They usually break the fast with water, milk, fruits and dried fruits.

At this time, believers read the Quran a lot, do good deeds, and also distribute obligatory (zakat) and voluntary (sadaqah) alms.

Who can not fast in Ramadan

Fasting in Ramadan is prescribed for all healthy Muslims who have reached puberty, both men and women. Gentiles, atheists, children, the sick and the elderly, as well as the mentally ill are exempt from fasting. In addition, pregnant, lactating, and women who have recently given birth do not fast. Women also do not fast during menstruation. In addition, a lighter fast is allowed for those who are on the road.

For the missed days of Uraza, you need to fast the same number of days in the next month. If a Muslim does not fast for health reasons, then for each missed day, the poor should be fed, based on approximately their daily diet.

The spiritual meaning of uraza in Ramadan

By refusing to meet basic human needs, primarily in food and drink, a person demonstrates the firmness of his faith and his readiness to cleanse himself physically and spiritually. At this time, the follower of Islam must free his mind from the sinful thoughts of lust, otherwise his fast will not be counted.

Prayers during Ramadan

During Ramadan, Muslims pray a lot, even those who are not so strict in the implementation of religious precepts at other times of the year.

Prayers must be said at a strictly defined time, each region has its own. There are obligatory and voluntary prayers. In addition, believers are ordered to read the Quran as much as possible and not to forget to do good deeds.

When and how will Ramadan end in 2017

In 2017, Ramadan will end on June 25, after which the second most important Muslim holiday, Uraza Bayram (Eid al-Fitr, Ramadan Bayram), will come. Eid al-Fitr will begin at sunset on the last day of Ramadan on June 25. After a common prayer, all Muslims will begin a common festive meal, to which non-believers are also allowed. Also on Eid al-Fitr, believers actively distribute alms (sadaqah) and treat the poor.

Voluntary and obligatory alms (sadaqah and zakat)

In every Muslim community, religious authorities set a lower limit on the amount to be spent on charity.

In predominantly Muslim regions Russian Federation the minimum amount of nisab - income or property from which zakat should be paid, is set at about 200 thousand rubles.

Nisab (income that you need to have) for the obligatory payment of sadaki-fitr (alms, which are distributed at the end of Ramadan) - about 20 thousand rubles.

The minimum size of sadaki-fitr is from 100 to 600 rubles.

For the missed days of fasting, fidia is paid, which is approximately 200 rubles for each missed day.

As for sadaka, this is a voluntary donation, and the believers themselves determine its size.

Uraza Bayram prayer before eating

From ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) it is reported that the messenger

Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Indeed, a prayer

fasting before breaking the fast is not rejected. Ibn Majah 1753, al-Hakim

“O Lord, I fasted for You (for the sake of Your pleasure with me), believed in You, relied on You and broke the fast using Your gifts. Forgive me past and future sins, O All-Forgiving!

Uraza Bayram: the order of the holiday prayer

Today, after sunset, the Holy Month of Ramadan ended and the Eid al-Fitr (Uraza-Bayram) holiday, celebrated on July 5 in almost the entire Muslim world, began.

This holiday, first of all, is significant in that on this day in the morning the believers of most countries of the world will go to mosques to perform a festive prayer (id namaz).

According to the Hanafi madhhab, the performance of the holiday prayer belongs to the category of necessary actions (wajib). Shafi'i theologians classify it as desirable (sunnat).

However, one way or another, the performance of this prayer is not necessary for all Muslims. The following categories of people may miss the Eid prayer:

3. Those on the way (Musafirs) - more than 87 km from home and absent for less than 15 days.

4. Disabled people (both physically and mentally)

Regarding the possibility of filling this prayer, the opinions of theologians also differ. Hanafi scholars believe that the holiday prayer cannot be replenished, because its performance should be collective in the mosque. Shafi'i theologians, in turn, argue that the Eid prayer is replenished, since it is possible to perform it alone.

The start time for the Eid prayer comes when the sun rises about 3 meters above the horizon (30 minutes after sunrise). The end of the time allotted for this prayer is the moment when the sun is at its zenith.

The procedure for performing a festive prayer in Uraza-Bayram

Desirable actions before performing Eid-prayer:

1. Complete ablution (ghusl)

2. Clean clothes

3. Perfume with incense

The holiday prayer itself consists of 2 rak'ahs, the performance of which has its own characteristics. Firstly, in Eid prayer, believers perform as many as 6 takbirs (3 in each of the rak'ahs). Secondly, in the first rak'ah after reading the surah Al-Fatiha, it is necessary to read the surah Al-Al`a (The Most High).

All other actions are similar, as in the usual two-rakah prayer. Before or after performing the prayer, the imam, as a rule, reads a sermon, consisting of two parts.

Among all Muslim holidays, Bayram is one of the most important. On Friday, June 15, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr - the holiday of breaking the fast, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which believers fast. How Eid al-Fitr passes in Moscow - in the RBC photo gallery

Its other name, common among believers, is Eid al-Fitr. It is celebrated for three whole days in a month, in Arabic it is called Shawwal, timed to coincide with the end of the fast of Ramadan. That is why it is also called Ramadan Bairam. We will talk more about this holiday below.

Establishment of a holiday

According to Islamic traditions, the holiday of Ramadan Bayram was established by the founder of Islam himself - the prophet Muhammad. It happened in 624. Since then, the ummah, that is, the worldwide community of believers, celebrates this day every year, as required by their religion.

The image of the celebration

In Christianity, during Easter, believers greet each other with the words "Christ is risen!". A similar exclamation on Ramadan Bairam among Muslims is the phrase in Arabic "Eid Mubarak!". It translates as follows: "Blessed holiday!". The days of celebration in most traditionally Muslim countries are considered holidays and on state level, which means that at this time almost everyone has days off and no one works. The day begins with a ritual bath. Then a visit to the mosque is obligatory, in which a public prayer is held with the reading of a special text - Eid-namaz. This is a special prayer in Arabic dedicated to this holiday, and therefore it is read only once a year.

Features of Eid Prayer

This ceremony begins at dawn and continues until lunchtime. At its core, it is a form of prayer. It is best to do it in a mosque together with other believers, but if circumstances prevent this, then prayer can be performed at home alone, but also no later than the lunch azan. In addition to prayer on this day, you need to give zakat - obligatory alms, which is one of the pillars of Islam. Moreover, this should be done before the holiday prayer begins. Ramadan Bayram should be celebrated by all Muslims, these days it is not supposed to mourn, and therefore alms-zakat are most often given to the poor so that they can buy new clothes and eat well.

What do they do on holidays

Like any celebration, Bayram is a holiday on which tables are laid and refreshments are put. Believers go to visit each other and invite them to their place to share a friendly meal. It is also very important to visit your parents and other relatives. If this cannot be done personally, then at least it is required to send a postcard, or somehow convey your congratulations. Ramadan Bayram also requires that all the sick, the lonely and the poor are not forgotten. Therefore, religion prescribes paying attention to such people and participating in their lives with a gift, a visit and a treat. Children, as a rule, also receive gifts from their parents and spend time in games and fun. Also, deceased relatives are not forgotten in Bayram. The holiday assumes that believers will visit the graves of their dead and perform funeral prayers for them. As for the enemies, the traditions of this day require a person to reconcile with everyone with whom he was in a quarrel, and make peace.

There is also a special tradition to pray on the night before the holiday. According to Islamic traditions, prayers offered at night on the eve of the Bayram holiday have a special power - the ear of Allah is especially attentive to them, and if a person pronounces them sincerely, then they are credited to a person. The only thing is that it is recommended not to abuse the vigils on the festive night, so as not to oversleep the most important prayer in the mosque in the morning.

The meaning of the holiday

In general, in Islam there are only two dates for Muslim holidays, the significance of which is so great. In addition to Bayram described above, this is Eid-ul-Adha - the day dedicated to the completion of the pilgrimage (hajj) to Mecca to the Kaaba. Bayram, as mentioned above, is the result of the Ramadan fast, in which every believer is prescribed to abstain from food, drink, entertainment and intimacy until sunset. This is done in order to temper willpower, free up time for spiritual exercises, engage in good deeds pacify desires and extinguish their passions. Both Hajj and fasting are efforts on oneself, undertaken in order to advance along the path offered by Islam. It is the completion of successful spiritual work that is celebrated on these great holidays. At the same time, existing moral norms require Muslims to maintain in themselves the level of perfection that was achieved during these pious exercises. That is, the end of the holy fast of Ramadan does not mean that now you can return to all your old sins and bad habits. Quite the opposite, leaving once, they must be left forever, and thus the time of fasting becomes a time of inner transformation. This is necessary to arouse the pleasure of Allah and his approval.

What is Ramadan holiday?

Muslim calendar based on lunar year, has, as a rule, few holidays that have great importance for all Muslims. However, such a holiday as Ramadan is given special preference.

Ramadan, aka Ramadan, is the ninth month of the Muslim lunar calendar. Ramadan is considered a month of strict fasting. According to Muslim custom, the first spiritual revelation was delivered to the Prophet Muhammad through the Messenger Jibril in this month. All this happened in 610, when Muhammad was in the cave of Hira, which is located not far from Mecca, where he quite often retired for religious services. This and subsequent revelations, which were sent to the prophet, constituted the sacred book of Islam, referred to as the Koran.

Fasting in the month of Ramadan is one of the main obligations for all Muslims. It is prescribed in order to increase the awareness and appreciation of the Muslims' own actions and the exact execution of the orders of Allah. During the whole day it is strictly forbidden: to eat, drink, indulge in various amusements and taste pleasures. Muslims devote daytime to prayers, reading the Koran, charity, work, as well as religious thoughts and deeds. In addition to the standard 5 prayers, every day, with the advent of night, an additional prayer-prayer is also read, which is referred to as tarawih. As a rule, taraweeh is read after the fifth prayer. In the last decade of the month of Ramadan, there is a more active righteous life, including the commemoration of the night when Prophet Muhammad received his first revelation. In this month, you can drink and eat food only after sunset and until the time when it rises. Only children, sick people, and even soldiers who take part in hostilities are exempt from fasting, but still, an unfulfilled fast must necessarily be compensated at other times. According to the statement of the mullah, during Ramadan, Allah bestows a reward on the pious for every mercy done by him.

The end of the fast and the holiday of Ramadan is the second most important among all Muslim holidays - Eid al-Fitr, which is considered the holiday of breaking the fast. It begins to be celebrated with the arrival of sunset on the last day of Ramadan and is celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of the coming month of Shawwal after Ramadan. At this time, all Muslims should think about the spiritual values that they acquired during the celebration of Ramadan. Muslims consider this holiday a day of salvation, forgiveness, reward and reconciliation.

The celebration of the holiday begins with a special prayer in the mosque. After the end of the prayer, the Islamic priest asks Allah for acceptance of fasting and forgiveness. After all this, the believers, pulling the tasbih rosary, the whole crowd begin to read dhikr - these are the words of the ritual remembrance of Allah. Dhikr is carried out according to a special formula and in a certain way, out loud or to oneself, accompanying all this with certain body movements.

After prayer, a festive table is laid in the mosque and alms are distributed to the poor. Saadaka is charged from each adult on the day the fast ends during Ramadan. It is collected only from wealthy Muslims. It is listed as a voluntary donation.

In almost all Muslim countries, on the days of Eid al-Fitra, it is supposed to visit the graves of deceased relatives. On the second day of Eid al-Fitra, the fast of the month of Shawwal begins, which lasts 6 days.

The month of Ramadan 2018: the essence of fasting, schedule, calendar, what is prohibited in Ramadan

In Islam, there are also special dates when believers refrain from all human passions and purify their soul and body from earthly filth a share of eternal bliss. In the article, we will take a closer look at how to fast in Ramadan and what prohibitions fasting imposes on believers.

When is the month of Ramadan in 2018, what date does Uraza begin?

Muslims are no different from other believers: solemn events for them take place in an atmosphere of joy, holiness, when hunger and thirst meet with satisfaction, and the fate of the poor is fully realized.

The month passes in observing fasting and reading prayers on the days of remembrance. Like other believers, Muslims have certain prohibitions on human passions that are imposed by fasting.

What kind of holiday is Ramadan?

  • The holy month of Ramadan is considered the most honorable for believers. It is based on faith in Allah. A full-fledged fast will be when a person is cleansed of sins by his behavior and receives the pleasure of Allah.
  • It is considered impermissible to waste time during the Holy month. After all, it is on these days that Muslims can be rewarded for their good deeds. Wisdom consists in not violating the rules of fasting imposed on the believers by Allah.
  • In Ramadan, there is also an improvement in the good qualities of believers who fast. Quarrels and strife cease, the hearts of friends unite, and a sense of responsibility and compassion for the poor is instilled.

On Ramadan, fasting begins. And all believers are required to adhere to it.

  • As for the Orthodox, the date of the Easter holidays changes every year, and for Muslims, the onset of the month of Ramadan is calculated according to the phases of the lunar calendar and the difference from previous years can be within 10-11 calendar days. Therefore, the date of the onset of the Holy period for Muslims changes every year.
  • Ramadan will begin in May 2018, namely 16 numbers. Ramadan ends on June 14. June 15 - Uraza Bayram.
  • The sacred period for Muslims has long originated in the warm season, since it always falls in the summer months.

In the literal translation, Ramadan means "sultry", "hot". However, not all believers perceive the holiday in this way. For most, the literal translation does not mean the summer season, but following the strictest rules that must be followed.

The Quran was sent down to people in the month of Ramadan

Historical reference

  • How is the exact date of Ramadan determined? Every year, the date of the onset of the Holy Period for Muslims is indicated in the teachings of theologians. They also determine the day of the onset of Ramadan, based on the phases of the moon.
  • The onset of the 9th month of the calendar is the onset of the sacred period of the Muslim faith. By the way the night luminary is located, the date of the holiday is determined.

  • According to ancient tradition, on the day when the Sacred Period begins, Allah becomes open to resolve the fate of the believers in a safe way and fulfill their forgiveness.

Ramadan comes on the 9th month of the calendar

Uraza Bayram in 2018

Confessors of Islam are often interested in the issue of the fasting of Eid al-Fitr. After all, it also does not have a fixed date. Traditionally, fasting occurs on the ninth month of the Muslim calendar.

  • Since the post Ramadan in 2018 starts 16th of May, and the Sacred period ends at night June 14(exactly 30 days), then Eid al Adha falls on June 15.
  • Fasting during one of the biggest holidays in Islam, Eid al-Fitr, is very strict.
  • Great feast of breaking the fast Eid al Adha begins immediately after the end of the post. At this time, all the faithful are allowed to eat everything that they could not afford in fasting.
  • Believers prepare for the holiday a month before its onset, and expect it all year. After the Great Lent, which lasts throughout the month, the day of breaking the fast comes.
  • All adult Muslims are required to adhere to the rules of fasting Uraza. Children, the sick, the insane may not fast.
  • All month, believers only after dark have the right to eat food. Only under such a condition does the spiritual purification of the faithful take place.

  • There is an equalization of the poor with the rich, which cleanses from committed sins, among which gluttony occupies the first place.

In Ramadan, it is forbidden to consume food and water during the daytime.

With the onset of night, believers can begin breaking the fast. Only eating should be spent at the same table with friends and acquaintances, and not exclusively in the family circle or alone.

  • It is also good to invite the poor to break the fast together, since helping the afflicted means doing a deed pleasing to Allah.
  • After finishing their meal, believers go to the mosque to pray and indulge in the reading of the Koran.
  • During prayer, the faithful ask for good for all people and forgiveness for their sins.
  • After the appearance of the new moon, the fast ends. Muslims have a holiday. They say morning prayers.
  • There are many believers in mosques at this time. Not everyone gets inside the mosque and prays next to it.
  • On such a joyful day, the worshipers feel like one family. The poor receive gifts, because each family prepares aid in advance for them and presents it during the celebration.

What is forbidden in Ramadan?

During the fast, it is forbidden to perform several actions. It is worth considering that it is in the light period of the day that they are considered a violation of the fast. This is about:

Unspoken desire to fast;
Intentional eating and drinking;
smoking;
Sexual contacts (it doesn't matter if there was an ejaculation or not), masturbation and ejaculation caused by stimulation;
Rectal and vaginal use of drugs;
Swallowing liquid that has entered the mouth.
What is allowed in Ramadan
At the same time, the law does not prohibit doing:

Unintentional eating and drinking;
The introduction of a drug means due to injections;
donate blood;
Swim, but only if water does not enter the mouth;
Kissing if the partner's saliva is not swallowed;
To enjoy caresses that do not cause ejaculation;
Swallow saliva and sputum that does not belong to another person;
Brush your teeth, but with the condition that the paste does not penetrate the throat;
Do not perform prayers.
Persons released from the post
Those who are not Muslims have the right not to follow the rules. Also children under the age of majority and people with mental disorders. Ramadan may not be observed by the elderly and people who suffer from serious illnesses that do not allow them to cope with fasting. To atone for this they have to feed the poor. Pregnant women can also not follow the fast if they are worried about their own or the health of the baby. They should follow Ramadan after the worries have gone. As mentioned earlier, travelers can break their fast in any physical condition or difficulty of the chosen route. If a person does not observe Ramadan, then he should not show eating or smoking to other Muslims. Also, in countries where the Muslim population predominates, it is forbidden to eat, smoke or use chewing gum during Ramadan.

Mandatory requirements
It is very important for those who are fasting to communicate their intention. The intention must be pronounced with the heart. For this, you can use any language that will be understood by fasting people. If you translate this phrase into Russian, then it should look something like this - "I intend tomorrow (today) to fast the month of Ramadan, for the sake of Allah." You need to pronounce this phrase every day for the whole month. The phrase is repeated between the night and morning prayers. An intention that was uttered once a month for all subsequent days is not considered valid in any Sunni madhhab. The only exception is the Maliki madhhab.

What to do in case of violation of the post

If the fast is broken, and there are no good reasons for this, then this offense will be attributed to sins. In case of unintentional breaking of the fast due to severe illness, the Muslim should perform the missed fast on the 1st day of the fast. It is also fashionable to pay the poor a certain amount, which is equal to 1 sa of wheat. Other products purchased for an equivalent amount may also be used. If the fast was missed for another good reason, then the faithful must observe it at any convenient time before the next Ramadan comes. Sexual intercourse that was committed during the daylight hours must be made up for with 60 days of constant fasting or feeding 60 poor people. If the fast is not observed for a reason that is provided for in the Sharia, it is necessary to engage in repentance.

good deeds
Based on the Hadith and the Qur'an, perform good deeds during this period is considered to be very important for Muslims. If you follow the words of the prophet, Allah can increase the value of each such act seven hundred times, and the devil will be in chains during this period, so doing good during this period will be easier than at other times of the year. Faithful Muslims should spend this month more time to study the Quran. They should not forget about almsgiving, as well as do other positive deeds.

Breakfast (Suhoor) at dawn
Suhoor is a breakfast that is taken at dawn throughout Ramadan. Food should be taken before morning prayer is to be read. Suhoor and iftar allow you to replace the usual meals this month for all the faithful. Muslims must perform suhoor before the first sign of dawn. In this case, the reward for the faithful will be much greater. If the fasting person is not satisfied before dawn, then his fast will be kept, but he will be deprived of a certain part of the reward, since he will not fulfill one of the requirements of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad.

Evening meal (Iftar)

Iftar is breaking the fast or eating in the evening every day throughout Ramadan. There should be after the evening prayer is performed. Iftar can only start at sunset. Do not postpone this meal until later in the evening. To break the fast according to the Sunnah, you should use dates or water. When the iftar is completed, it is necessary to say a special prayer, which is called a dua. It may sound something like this: “O Lord, for the sake of Your pleasure with me, I fasted, believed in You, relied on You and broke the fast using Your gifts. Forgive me, O He Whose mercy is infinite. Praise be to the Almighty, Who helped me to fast and fed me when I broke my fast.”

Taraweeh in the month of Ramadan

Taraweeh can be translated as respite. This name is given to a special voluntary prayer that should be performed after the night prayer. It continues until the sun appears at dawn. Taraweeh can be done alone or in a group. Prayer got its name due to the fact that after every fourth rakah, the worshipers get the opportunity to rest while sitting, bringing praise to the Lord.

During the life of the prophet, taraweeh consisted of 8-20 rak'ahs. Modern prayer includes 20 rak'ahs. It was approved by Caliph Umar, to which the Sahaba agreed. Today, the prayer is represented by 10 prayers, each of which consists of two rak'ahs. It must be performed daily throughout Ramadan. Prayer should begin after the end of the night prayer.

End of Ramadan

During the last ten days of Ramadan, Muslims should be especially diligent in their prayers. During this period, it is best to visit mosques, as did the Prophet Muhammad, who retired to the mosque for the entire period. In the last year of his life, he spent 20 days in the mosque during the month of Ramadan. During solitude, do not forget about the need to pronounce your intentions. They should mention that you have decided to spend seclusion in itikaf. After the believer leaves the mosque, you need to return to the usual form of intentions. During this period, the night of al-Qadr should be expected.

Night of al-Qadr in 2018

This night is also called the Night of Power. It is generally accepted that exactly the 27th night of this month coincides with the period when the surah “Inna anzalnagu” was revealed to Muhammad.

This happened in the seventh century in the cave of Jabal al-Nur mountain. It was at this time, which is confirmed by Islamic sources, that the praying Muhammad met with the archangel Jabrail, who pointed the prophet to the scroll and ordered him to read it. Muslims celebrate this night at the end of Ramadan. It is on the Night of Power that the faithful get the opportunity to ask forgiveness from the Creator for their own sins. Also, this period should be devoted to reading the Qur'an.

Feast of Eid al-Fitr

At the end of Ramadan, a feast of breaking the fast is held, which is called Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Fitr in the Turkic language. During this period, Muslims can make a special prayer, as well as pay alms. Zakat al-Fitr is alms that must be paid to the poor. The performance of this act is obligatory for all believers. The head of the family must be paid a certain amount of money for the whole family, which he takes care of. If the child was born on the night of the last day of Ramadan, then there is no need to pay alms for him.

Almsgiving
You can pay zakat al-fitr in the mosque to a person who is authorized to receive it. You can also distribute food directly to those who need it. Alms is equal to one saa of bulk substances. For example, in Europe it is customary to pay alms in the equivalent of wheat or barley, in Asia rice is used for this, and dates in the Middle East. It is best to pay zakat al-Fitr with food, as was customary in the time of the prophet. It is possible to pay alms in money only in the Hanafi madhhab. This obligatory charity allows you to atone (kafarra) for all kinds of mistakes that were made during the period of Ramadan. It is also intended to provide assistance to the poor and those who need funds to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

Congratulations on Ramadan

Lent continues to be the most joyful holiday for the faithful throughout the planet. Muslims can congratulate their friends and loved ones on his arrival thanks to the words of Ramazani Kareem, which are the wishes of a generous Ramadan. Traditionally, at this time, you can wish Muslims - “May Allah please your eyes in Ramadan with sweet evenings and the friendship of the elect, the mercy of the All-Forgiving and the paradise of the pious!”.

Uraza calendar 2018: the feast of breaking the fast, which marks the end of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan

Each nation has its own faith, and although significant holy holidays also do not differ much from each other, they always fall on different days, for example, in 2018, Ramadan (or Uraza) begins at dawn on June 15 and ends after sunset on June 16.

Uraza is the obligatory observance of saum (fasting) for Muslims for 30 calendar days, which consists of five pillars (foundations) of Islam. During these 30 days, Muslim believers must refrain from drinking, intimacy, smoking, and even eating. The beginning of the saum comes with the morning adhan and ends after the evening adhan after thirty days.

Before starting saum, Muslims read niyat: “I will perform saum of the month of Uraza today, for the sake of Allah.” Believers before the morning azan should finish eating (they call it suhoor) and immediately break the fast, it is allowed to take milk, dates and water for iftar.

Every night, believers perform the rite of isha (prayer for the night), after which there is a collective tarawih prayer, it consists of 8 to 20 rak'ahs. The mighty night of al-Qadar comes ten days before the end of the saum.

Uraza Bayram is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, which comes at the end of Ramadan. Muslims perform eid prayer (holiday prayer) and obligatory pay zakat al-fitr (alms).

Uraza calendar 2018: Uraza is a time of fun and joy

Uraza Bayram is the second most important holiday in the Islamic calendar after Kurban Bayram. On the eve of the holiday, Muslims buy gifts for each other, prepare treats, and decorate their homes.

Four days before the holiday, women carry out a general cleaning of the house, court premises, barns, and clean cattle. After cleaning is over, all family members should bathe, put on clean linen and clean themselves up.

In the evening, the hostesses prepare traditional oriental dishes. Children carry them to their relatives, there is a mutual exchange of treats.

Eid al-Fitr is not allowed to work, so in most Islamic countries this day is a day off. In Russia, they will have a rest in the republics North Caucasus, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan.

On the holiday itself, it is customary to get up early and put on festive clothes. Muslims greet each other in a special way: “May Allah send His mercy to both you and us!”, “May Allah accept our and your prayers!”.

An hour before sunrise in mosques, after the sermon, they read a festive prayer - Gaet-Namaz. The prayers are mostly attended by men only. Women at this time prepare treats at home.

After the arrival of men from the mosque, the hostesses set the table. In each house they are waiting for the arrival of guests, they also visit their neighbors, relatives and bring them sweets.

Before the start of the holiday, alms (fitr-sadaqah) are obligatory - the distribution of property and money to those in need on a holiday. This year the minimum amount is 50 rubles.

In addition, on Eid al-Fitr, it is customary to visit parents, do good deeds, give gifts, visit cemeteries and commemorate deceased relatives.

Uraza calendar 2018: These days, giving alms is not just a possible solution for a Muslim, but an obligatory action

Eid al-Fitr, sacred to all Muslims, in 2017 will begin on June 25 and will last until June 28. This date can be found using the lunar calendar, which correlates with the Islamic calendar.

Now we need to find the month of Shawwal, which immediately follows Ramadan. This is the end of the search, because the holiday of Eid al-Adha falls on the first three days of the month of Shawwal. There are many lesser known ones, but important rules. For example, it is important to take food with your right hand.

If you use cutlery, it must also be in right hand. It is very important to show special attention and hospitality to guests, even if they are your old friends: you need to leave the best food, choose for guests best places and let them feel at home, without hinting that they are still visiting.

What is customary to cook for the holiday table?

The main product from which most of the festive dishes on Eid al-Fitr are prepared is lamb. Rich soups, roasts, snacks, meat salads are made from it.

The festive table depends on folk traditions. If in Tatarstan they bake pancakes in the morning, put pies on the table, then in the Central Asian republics pilaf is an indispensable attribute.

IN Saudi Arabia in the morning they eat sweets and dates, fruits. At noon, you need to eat well so that the table is not empty next year.

In Kyrgyzstan, the holiday is called Orozo Ait. The believer must visit seven houses, taste the prepared dishes and read prayers.

In Turkey, they also enjoy sweets at Sheker Bayrami. The youngest of relatives are obliged to visit the oldest.

Ramadan is a holiday that lasts a whole month, so many Muslims feel some devastation after it and part with it with difficulty. How to complete the month of Ramadan, how and to whom to give sadaka, how to spend the Night of Power and Predestination, celebrate Eid al-Fitr? Imam-hatib of the Kazan mosque "Gailya" Rustam hazrat Khairullin answered these questions of Tatar-inform news agency.

- Rustam hazrat, Eid al-Fitr, or Eid al-Fitr is one of the greatest holidays in Islam. What do Muslims do to meet him with dignity?

– Indeed, Eid al-Fitr, or as it is customary to call it among Turkic Muslims – Eid al-Fitr – is a great holiday in Islam in honor of the completion of the holy month of Ramadan. Its history dates back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad. In 624, while in Medina, the prophet observed a fast for the first time during the month and celebrated the end of the month of fasting together with the community. How this month should pass, and how to celebrate its completion - the Messenger of Allah showed the Muslims by his example.

The holiday is celebrated in a state of spiritual and bodily purity. On the day before the holiday, you should put yourself in order - wash yourself, even better - take a dip in the bath. Put on the most beautiful and clean clothes, perfume yourself with incense and go to the festive prayer. It is customary to go to the mosque for the holiday prayer one way, and return along the other.

- How many days does Eid al-Fitr last? One day? Three days?

Eid al-Fitr is celebrated for three days. But quite often we are asked: “Can we return to fasting after the holiday?” If, after the end of the month of Ramadan, in the next month of Shawwal, we fast for another six days, then we will be rewarded for this as for a whole year of fasting. From what day can you start abstinence? You can’t fast on the second day of the holiday, but from the third day you can already start.

- Is it possible immediately after Eid al-Fitr to compensate for the days of Uraza missed for one reason or another?

– Yes, you can. But it is better if you first fast the month of Shawwal.

- Rustam hazrat, what is the amount of fitr-sadaqah (a donation in honor of the holiday in favor of the poor - ed.), And to whom should it be paid?

- As established by the Spiritual Board of Muslims, fitr-sadaqah is 100 rubles per person, calculated at the cost of barley, and 600 rubles - calculated at the price of dried fruits. You can give to the poor, orphans, financially needy people. Donations are also accepted in the form of food. This type of sadaqah is not to be served to parents, grandparents. Because fitr-sadaqah is special kind donations. And additional donations can be made separately, regardless of the holiday.

- Is there a specific time when fitr-sadaqah should be paid?

- It is paid before the holiday. The Prophet Muhammad said that only sadaqa paid before the end of the month can be considered a donation in honor of the end of the fast, and the person who gives it deserves the forgiveness of the Almighty for his sins and mistakes. If the donation is made after the holiday, it will be from the regular alms. Therefore, fitr-sadaqah is better to give before the start of Eid al-Fitr. If you didn’t have time, give it back later, the main thing is a sincere intention. However, only fitr-sadaqah, paid on time, has the property of delivering a Muslim from sins, mistakes and inaccuracies committed by him during fasting.

- A Muslim can make up for the days he was unable to fast by paying special donations. When do they need to be paid?

- They are also better to give during the month of Ramadan. Now iftars are held in almost all mosques, those who have fasted come there. Take the money to the mosque, your money will be used to buy food for the needy and those who fasted on this day.

If a person wants to give fitr-sadaqah not to someone's hands, but to transfer it to the account of charitable organizations, or for the treatment of sick children. Is it possible to do so?

- Of course you can. Much depends on intention. These are also donations, and go to the benefit of people.

- Are there any rules on how to congratulate each other on the day of Eid al-Fitr?

- Eid al-Fitr is a wonderful holiday, and congratulating each other on this holiday is a beautiful tradition among Muslims. Wish each other health, well-being, long life, and that the Almighty accept the prayer you made during the month. This is very important, because even the companions of the prophet said: “For the first six months after the month of fasting, we prayed that the Almighty would accept our efforts in fasting, and the remaining six months we prayed that the Almighty would allow us to see the next month of fasting.” Eid al-Fitr is a great holiday. This is a celebration of patience, restraint, abstinence.

- Now it has become fashionable to congratulate each other in social networks by sending picture postcards. Muslims can exchange such drawings?

- It is not prohibited. You can send different pictures, images on the occasion of the holiday. But before doing this, you should make sure that this does not cause the addressee to negative emotions. Some people might find these pictures annoying. If everything is fine, then, of course, send, congratulate on the holiday. Is it a picture or an audio recording, call in person or write sincere congratulations in messages - everything on this holiday will be appropriate.

- Rustam hazrat, in addition to collective prayer What is included in the celebration of Eid al-Fitr? How is it celebrated?

- It should be done as real holiday- Invite guests, visit yourself. Traditionally, on this day, treats are prepared in all houses, tables are set, relatives, friends, relatives are invited.

On this day, it is recommended to visit cemeteries and read a prayer in memory of the dead, put their graves in order. If your parents, grandparents are still alive, go to them, find out about their health, ask how they feel. Prepare delicious meals, pastries, invite your parents to visit you. Remember about the children - give them different gifts so that they also know about such a great holiday as Eid al-Fitr.

- They say that on the day of the holiday and for another three days after the holiday, you can not wash the floors, wash. Is this true or just a belief?

- It is wrong to wash floors and wash on a holiday. This must be done before the holiday. If you don’t have time to clean up, it’s not a sin, but it will be considered a manifestation of disrespect for the holiday.

- Rustam hazrat, Muslims know that on one of the dates of the month of Ramadan there is a special night - the Night of Power and Predestination. It is called the most desired, dear and valuable day of the holy month. How do you know when that night will come?

Our prophet said: “It will be very good night, the dogs will not bark, the wind will not blow, and even the leaf on the tree will not move.” The Night of Destiny is hidden on one of the last ten days of the fasting month. We will look for her there. There are suggestions that this year it will fall on June 10th.

This is the night of the revelation of the Quran. It was on this day that the revelation of the Quran began. For our noble deeds and deeds committed on the Night of Power and Predestination, the Almighty will reward many times over. On this day, Allah accepts all our prayers. Let's ask for a happy fate - he can give it to us. This is the day when wishes come true. Prayer on this day is equivalent to non-stop prayer for 83 years. This is one night that has more value than 83 years. The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months. On this day, we need to help each other, come to help those who need it. Arrange iftar, and spend the night reading the Koran, worship. The night of predestination is of value not only for those who keep the fast, but also for those who, for various reasons, could not fast. Because on this day the doors of mercy and grace of Allah Almighty open. This the best night for repentance.

- Rustam hazrat, how to switch to the usual diet after fasting, ordinary life?

- After the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, one should try to observe six days of fasting in the month of Shawwal, then make up for the days missed during fasting. Then gradually move into the usual diet and normal life. I wish all fellow believers a successful end to the month of Ramadan, so that the Almighty accepts all our diligence and sincere intentions, and so that we can all enjoy the joys of the month of fasting next year.

Discuss()

With the onset of evening prayer time on the eve of Uraza Bayram, the holiday begins. From now on, it is desirable for all Muslims to read takbir, preferably loudly:« Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. La ilagya illa llagyu wa llagyu akbar. Allahu akbar wa lillagiel hIamd». They read takbir before performing ‘id-namaz (holiday sunnat-namaz on the day of Uraza-bairam) and in the evening, and at night, and in the morning when the state changes, etc.

It is advisable to spend the night on Eid al-Adha in vigil, in the service of Allah. If you can't revive all night, revive at least most If this is also difficult, spend at least one hour in Ibadah and try to perform the night and morning prayers in the mosque together with the jamaat.

On this night, they read the Koran, read dhikr, salavat, dua, etc. (and those who have debts for prayer, compensate them).

From midnight to ‘Eid prayer, it is also advisable to do personal hygiene (bathing in honor of the holiday, cutting hair and nails, etc.).

On the day of Eid al-Fitr, you should get out of bed early, it is advisable to perform a full body ablution (if this was not done at night), brush your teeth. On this day, you should put on clean (preferably new) clothes, put a silver ring on your finger, perfume yourself with incense and, having eaten something from sweets (preferably dates), go to the mosque early to perform a festive prayer (‘id-namaz).

On the day of Eid al-Fitr, one should be joyful and cheerful, greet the believers, congratulate them on the holiday and wish them to accept fasting by the Almighty, visit relatives, neighbors, acquaintances, other Muslims and receive guests themselves, having accordingly prepared for this in advance.

On this day, they also distribute alms (sadaqa) to the poor, visit the graves of loved ones (they visit the graves on the eve of Eid al-Fitr).

Do not forget to take off the zakat-sah and give it to its intended purpose.

Eid prayer

(Salat-ul-‘id)

Salat-ul-‘Eid is a festive two-rakah sunnat prayer performed on the day of Eid al-Adha (and Eid al-Adha) about an hour after sunrise. The time of its commission should be clarified with the imam of the mosque the day before.

Eid prayer can be performed at home, but men should perform it in the mosque with other believers. It is advisable to go to the mosque on one road, and return on the other, for this is what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did.

Before performing ‘id-namaz, they say niyat:« I intend to perform a two-rakah holiday sunnat prayer on the occasion of ‘Eid-ul-Fitra (Uraza Bayram (sunnat-‘id-namaz)) in the name of Allah Almighty». If prayer is performed with other Muslims, then they also add to the niyat« together with the Jamaat" or "behind the imam".

Following the niyat, they immediately pronounce"Allahu Akbar" and, raising their hands to the level of their ears, proceed to prayer. Who knows, at the beginning of the prayer, as usual, he reads a prayer"Wajahtu". At the end of this prayer, again raising their hands, they say"Allahu Akbar" then, lowering his hands and placing them on his stomach (as when reading a sura"Fatiha"), read:

« SubhIanallagyi wal xIamdu lillagyi wala la ilagya illa llagyu wallagyu akbar».

After reading this prayer, they again raise their hands and say"Allahu Akbar" then, as for the first time, they read the same prayer. And so it is pronounced seven times"Allahu Akbar" and read the prayer six times. Then after the seventh“Allahu akbar” read “A ‘uzu ...” and sura “Fatiha”. Then everything is done as in a normal prayer. In the second rak'ah before reading the sura"Fatiha" say again"Allahu Akbar" and they read the same prayer in exactly the same way as in the first rak'ah, but only five times (prayer - four times).

In both rak'ahs after the sura"Fatiha" it is also desirable to read something from the Quran. Best in the first rak'ah"Kaf", in the second - "Iktaraba", and who does not know, in the first -« Kul ya aiyugyal kafirun”, in the second - “Kulgyu” (“Ikhlas”).

Whoever performs ‘Eid-namaz at home, it is better to perform it with a jamaat (collectively) together with the rest of the family members (wife, children, mother, sisters, etc.).

Id-namaz is also desirable for those who are on the way.

Whoever does not know the above prayer can perform the usual two-rakah sunnat prayer, having a niyat to perform ‘Eid-namaz.

Month of Shawwal

The first day of the month of Shawwal is a holiday - ‘Eid-ul-Fitr (Eid al-Fitr). The second and third days of Shawwal are also holidays.

In the month of Shawwal Sunnat (preferably) fast for six days. One of the hadiths says:« Whoever fasts during Ramadan and then continues to fast for six days of Shawwal (will be rewarded) as if he had fasted for a whole year».

Six days of fasting in Shawwal can be observed intermittently, but preferably in a row, immediately after Eid al-Fitr, that is, starting from the second day.
