Holidays in the pearl of the Black Sea coast - Gagra
Even when I was little and looked at the photographs that my mother brought from her vacation in Gagra, it seemed to me that this was some kind of heavenly place on Earth. And when I became an adult, very adult, I was lucky enough to visit this wonderful place. I got here quickly and without problems, because the city is nearby, some 30 kilometers from Adler airport. The resort is located in a picturesque location between the Black Sea and a mountain range. Therefore, the climate here is unique. Gagra is considered the warmest place on the entire Black Sea coast. Here are the best pebble and sand beaches, the cleanest. The beaches are so long that there is enough space for all vacationers, even at the height of the holiday season. Although you can relax here at any time of the year, as subtropical climate- this is something amazing! And what kind of trees grow here! Equalipts, palm trees, tangerine and orange gardens. And if you want to improve your health, then doctors of all specialties are at your service. Although nature itself heals no worse than doctors. Visit the Seaside Park, its lush greenery, breathe in its healing air, and you will feel how fatigue goes away, your soul becomes light and calm. And the city itself is beautiful too. Beautiful ancient buildings, although some have traces of destruction left by the war, but everything will gradually be restored and is already being restored. It was really hot. We vacationed with a large group of relatives. No matter how hard they tried to protect themselves from the sun (they wore hats, smeared themselves with cream high level protection), four of us suffered heatstroke. This, of course, ruined the holiday experience.
Why is it better to vacation in September?

The sun burns mercilessly, even if you are in the shade, you can get heatstroke. I took medications that might be needed on vacation. I always carry a small first aid kit with me: throat lozenges, an antipyretic drug, an anti-diarrhea drug, a painkiller analgesic.
Where is the best place to stay?
Where it is better to live, everyone chooses for themselves. I don’t know how it is in the private sector, but in a multi-storey, comfortable building there were interruptions in electricity and water. Although the apartment was on the first floor, the water pressure was not always sufficient. This did not add optimism. Local residents fill 5 liter bottles with water for future use. They were everywhere in our apartment.
We have already been on all the excursions in our previous visits to Abkhazia. For those who come for the first time, we can recommend an excursion to Lake Ritsa. It is offered by countless travel agencies that are located at every turn. The cost starts from 400 rubles per person (discounts for children), it depends on the duration of the excursion. You will see the Blue Lake, the remains of the Bzyb fortress, and see how the Himalayan cedar grows. Nature is very beautiful. You can take stunningly beautiful photographs.
We went swimming in the territory of the Energetik sanatorium. The beach line is elongated in length, but not so wide in width, about 10 meters. We had our own umbrella and blanket, like most vacationers. We haven't been to Abkhazia for 10 years. During this time, changes have occurred for the better. There are toilets on the beach here and there, there are sun loungers with umbrellas, but the infrastructure leaves much to be desired. I was surprised that many stores had opened with normal prices for things made of genuine leather. On our last visit (10 years ago), we went to Sochi, to Magnolia, where we bought leather jackets at bargain prices, since it was not the season. Now, everything can be bought in Gagra, there is no need to travel anywhere. You can choose a bag, their range is decent. Lovers of natural products can buy sheepskin skin. They are sold at the market and in shops nearby. It's cheaper on the market. You can buy a lot of goodies and bring them as gifts. How to get there

That summer my husband and I vacationed in the Veranda guest house, I’ll say it in one sentence - if you go to Gagra, then only here! We have been vacationing in Gagra for the 5th year now and each time we are looking for something more comfortable and modern for ourselves, but at the same time, so that we can feel the local flavor. In our review we would like to talk about our stay at the Mikhalych guest house. We vacationed in September 2018. We made our choice after reading the reviews and have never regretted it. Of the eight days of vacation, the first four days we lived with Mikhalych, and the remaining four in the neighborhood. We had to move due to the fact that we did not book a room in advance, but despite the “extraordinary” situation, Eduard Mikhailovich helped with the selection and move (transition) to a new place.
